Understanding Warrant Article 25

Warrant Article 25 passed in March of 2026 with 1739 YES votes and 490 NO votes

It Reads: Are you in favor of authorizing the town of Wolfeboro to remove the select board as trustees of The Libby Museum under provision of the State of NH Court System. If this warrant article passes, it will be the first step to creating a new 501 c3 non-profit which will form to become the successor Trustees of The Libby Museum snd re-open it as a re-envisioned experience and community asset. Further, the new organization will assume responsibility for future fundraising. If this warrant article fails, the Trustees/Select Board may vote to proceed with the demolition process of the building.
